University Women's Club 44th Annual Market
Good day Armstrong's Point residents,
The University Women's Club of Winnipeg is having their 44th annual market at 54 West Gate - the historic Ralph Connor house.
The event runs from Friday, November 6th from 10:00am - 5:00pm to Saturday November 7th 10:00am to 4:00pm. There will be three floors of crafts, giftware, food items, and guest vendors. Please see attached poster and the Armstrong's Point website for more information.

Tour Ralph Connor House
The Ralph Connor House, a historic house located at 54 West Gate, has offered to do a tour of the house for residents of Armstrong's Point (free of charge). They are pleased to offer this on Tuesday, October 13th at 6:30pm. If you are interested in attending, please register by clicking on the link below. Thank you and we hope to see you there!
Armstrong's Point Fall Potluck
Dear friends and neighbours,
Please join the Community Potluck on Thursday, September 24, 5:30-7:30pm, at 112 West Gate!
A bouncy castle and beverages will be provided by the Armstrong’s Point Association.
Please bring:
Your favourite dish to share,
Reusable cup, plate and utensils(we will also have disposables available),
Lawn chair or blanket (we will have extra)
We will also be collecting donations to support reopening of the Cornish Childcare Centre after the devastating fire in July. They are in need of gently used clothing for children 2 to 6 years old, especially outdoor gear such as mittens, hats, neck warmers, snow pants, splash pants.

Tree Tour & Workshop with Ivan Sabesky
Learn about the trees that make up the beautiful canopy in Armstrong’s Point. Our neighbourhood tree committee representative will share all you need to know about trees! Group will meet in East Blanchard Park and walk through the neighbourhood.
Pizza Night & Music with pizza and music by the Twelve Tribes Community
Bring a blanket or lawn chair to East Blanchard Park, eat some delicious pizza and mingle with neighbours while listening to music. All are welcome!
Adult Hula Hooping Workshop with Karrie from Kurrent Motion Hoops
Even if you’ve never tried it, come to East Blanchard Park and learn how to hula and how to do some hula hoop tricks. Guaranteed fun! Karrie will finish the workshop with a performance of her amazing hula hooping skills.
Refurbishing Gardens at the Middle Gate Pillars
We all suffered through the road construction last summer and so did the gardens at the pillars. With a little elbow grease we can fix the damage.
We are looking for some volunteers who can do some digging and some planting. We’ll meet at the corner of Middle Gate and Cornish on Tuesday August 11 at 5:30 PM. Bring a garden spade if you have one. The work will likely take no more than 1 1/2 hrs, or whatever amount of time and energy you can spare.

All ages bocce ball games with equipment, instruction, and general guidance. Come even if you’ve never played before! All ages welcome!

Come, stretch and renew in the fresh air at East Blanchard Park with a beginner friendly yoga class in the park.
Bike Repair Workshop with Ash Raichura
Meet in Ash’s garage at 129 East Gate to learn the basics of bike repair.
Music With Jesse Christian
Bring a blanket or a lawn chair to East Blanchard Park and come listen to the tunes of Jesse Christian. All ages show!
Annual General Meeting
The Armstrong’s Point Association Annual General Meeting taking place at Balmoral Hall and commencing at 7pm. Please show up 20-30 minutes prior to 7pm to sign in at security and fill out any paperwork if you are looking to join the Armstrong’s Point Association.
